PayPal is a global leader in payments, but their approach to global content was decentralized and inconsistent with more than 175 different pieces around the world. Iris launched Borderless Commerce in 2020 to reaffirm PayPal’s position as a thought leader with a broader, unifying strategy. 

Research showed that merchants knew the potential of selling internationally, but the complexity and a lack of insight were barriers. Borderless Commerce takes the position that borders should not be a barrier to business growth. Through primary and secondary research, we analyzed how shopper values affect how they buy, and how global merchants should sell in the growing world of cross-border commerce.
