Tennis—of, for, & by the people: environmental graphics for the new tennis center in Golden Gate Park.

The environmental graphics and signage at the new Golden Gate Park Tennis Center in San Francisco use the language of tennis as a metaphor for life, welcoming all and focusing on the power of inclusion, democracy, and camaraderie.

A new 75 ft. lenticular wall weaves together two words, “LOVE” and “ALL”, into one interactive image. The phrase indicates the center’s, and the city’s, commitment to equity and inclusivity through the language of tennis.

Exterior signage included an illuminated corten and concrete entrance sign, corten building signage, a large-scale concrete donor wall, as well as lightpole banners, court signage, and donor bench plaques.
